Paul ASTBURY

View in collection Born in Cheshire, he studied at Stoke-on-Trent and the Royal College of Art. His initial interests were in press moulded clay and assembly combined with other media, creating bizarre sculptural forms. His more recent work deals with the concept of 'transition' where slipcast, unfired, wet clay objects in enclosed spaces, build up condensation and merge and interact with their surroundings over time.
