Daphne CARNEGY

Originally trained as a French teacher, Carnegy first learned pottery in France but later returned to study ceramics at Harrow School of Art. She set up a studio in 1980 at Kingsgate Workshops, London, to produce a range of domestic ware where she specialised in colourful tin-glaze earthenware decorated using bold designs of fruit and leaves. In 1993 she published Tin-glazed Earthenware (A&C Black), and Maiolica: Ceramics Handbook in 2011 (A&C Black). She is a Fellow of the Craft Potters Association.
