View in collection Oval earthenware pie dish in dark red body, black slip trailed on white, the whole covered with dark galena glaze. These oval plates were made circular, then a piece was sliced out of the middle and the two halves stuck together to form the oval shape. They were usually made by Elijah Comfort.
