View in collection
SADLER AND SONS LTD, Stoke on Trent (1882-2000)
A novelty teapot designed in the 1930s but still in production in the 1950s. It came in a range of colours and reflected a sense of fun and modernity in the glamorous image of the racing car at a time when few ordinary people owned their own car. There is now a modern version in a limited edition of 1000 which has been made using the original moulds.
